Cheadle Jelly

Cheadle Jelly is organised by Cheadle Geeks (but it’s open to non-geeks too!) and in collaboration with Cheadle Parish Church. It’s an informal co-working event where freelancers, home workers and small business owners can bring their laptop or other work, meet or collaborate with others. It’s a chance to meet up in order to get out of their normal space, meet some new people and work together in a social environment. You can work, chat, compare ideas, tips or just focus on your own in the company of others.

There is an excellent community cafe downstairs. Cafe One serves a good selection of hot and cold foods along with excellent ground coffee and other beverages.

Cheadle Jelly is free but we do ask you to tell us if you can come along as space is limited.

Other Jellies

If you are interested in attending other Jellies, then there are quite a few in the area. Here are some….

The History of the Jelly

jelly
Jelly started in New York, back in 2006 when two freelancers chatted about one of the problems in working home being the lack of company. They decided to invite a group of freelancers to bring their laptops and work together in their apartment for the day, and called it Jelly as they were eating Jelly beans at the time! Visit the official Jelly Page for more information.

Forthcoming Jellies

Please note that Jelly has been put on hiatus until further notice.
